• Austin Bats

Did you know that the largest colony of bats in North America (yes, those little bird things that come out at night and feed on insects) is in Austin?  And there are over 1 MILLION of them that sleep all day under a bridge downtown?  And that they fly out every evening at sunset in an amazingly precise formation?  And that thousands of people gather every evening to watch this spectacle? • Sixth Street Area.  

This is what everyone talks about when they talk about the live music scene in Austin.  There are lots of bars and lots of bands.  Its right in the middle of the downtown area.  (And the demographic here is mostly 21-30; the more mature partiers (like those 30 years old and up) may want to visit the Warehouse District which is just a few blocks away.  Need more info?  Check out Sixth Street.
